Life Series Part 8: Improving our personal life through the practice of positive reflection.

Personal development through the practice of positive reflection.

There are a lot of people who grow up lying to themselves and to other people. The reason for this is that we live in a society that is rife with different points of view, philosophies, theories, suspicions, hypotheses, and conclusions. Before you can make changes to better your life, you need to gain the ability to discover your own truth.

If you wish to replace your old routines with new ones, you can do so; but, in order to do so, you will first need to give up all of your current routines. Change can be challenging for some of us, but if you put in the effort to learn new ways to adapt, you will see the beneficial results of your efforts.

What are some things I can do to alter the poor habits I've developed into positive ones?

You will have complete control over this aspect of the situation. We can just provide you with enlightening pointers, but it is ultimately up to you to test out fresh strategies that will help you advance. You are the only person who can affect your own change. When you are ready to do something, you don't need anyone's assistance; you can do it on your own. You have the ability to develop the inner gifts that are already there within you. You have several admirable attributes, such as high self-esteem, confidence, trustworthiness, self-awareness, and self-motivation, amongst others. each characteristic that can be developed to make your personal life better. It is up to you to determine what strategies are successful for you.

One thing you need to do is figure out what it is driving you to do the things you do, and then figure out how to change your behaviour in a positive direction. If this is the case, you might want to consider changing the company you keep or looking for new friends altogether. There is a good chance that someone from a support group or a group from your church will be able to assist you in locating solutions to improve your habits. However, the first thing you need to do is stop lying to yourself about whatever it is and try to put things on the right track with yourself. You need to develop the ability to think through potential outcomes before making any judgments at all.

It is much simpler than you might think. For instance, would you let someone who was under the influence of alcohol drive you home? If you did that, you made a poor choice that could end in your death or get you thrown in jail for a very long time. Why don't you offer to drive the drunk individual home if you are sober?

Friends and family members are included in the positive reflections. You have to make a decision if members of your family or your circle of friends are bringing you down or preventing you from moving forward. It's possible that making this option will require you to cut these people out of your life. If necessary, each of us is capable of leading a happy and fruitful life apart from our families and friends; nevertheless, the one thing you don't want is for someone to hold you back.

Utilizing your conscious mind can help you learn new abilities that will lead to the elimination of harmful habits. You can learn more about the world around you just by paying attention to it and engaging in activities such as listening and watching. The ability to observe is essential to success. Awareness of oneself is an essential component of observation. Take a step back and give yourself a good long look. Look for ways to improve the quality of your life rather than judging yourself harshly or persecuting yourself.
